Corner Cottage is a charming, traditional nineteenth century stone cottage in the heart of Edith Weston, a village on the south shore of Rutland Water, one of Europe's largest man made reservoirs. Rutland Water is one of Britain's premier fly fishing waters. It is also home to one of England's best environments for sailors, surfers, birdwatchers and those who just want to explore one of Britain's most beautiful parts. The Rutland Sailing Club and Rutland Water Fishing Lodge are only a short walk away from Corner Cottage.

Your Stay...
When you stay at Corner Cottage, linen, logs and energy costs are included.
We can offer you a welcome pack for only £5, which will provide you with everything necessary for a hot drink and a cooked breakfast on your first morning. We can even provide a full shopping service for an additional charge of 15% of the total bill. Imagine arriving to a fridge stocked full of your favourite foods!! Meals can be provided by prior arrangement.
Weekly lets are fairly flexible - we will try to accomodate your requirements . Short breaks are available throughout the year (with a couple of exclusions) either Friday, Saturday, Sunday or Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday. |

Corner Cottage is furnished to a very high standard throughout and comprises:
- the upstairs bedroom can offer either twin or double accomodation and there is a double pullout sofabed downstairs
- bathroom with shower over bath
- large enclosed gardens (dogs welcome)
- real log fire
- fully equipped kitchen including microwave, fridge, freezer, washing and ironing facilities
- off road parking
The local pub and well stocked village shop are both in walking distance. Supermarkets are in the nearby towns of Oakham and Stamford.

| 2008 is well under way! |
As a busy winter gives way to a promising spring/summer season we are still active in making improvements to Corner Cottage. From the begining of March we will be able to offer flexible accomodation with the installation of a new zip-link bed. This means that upstairs there can be either two single beds or one double.
The trees in the carpark have had a 'short back and sides'!
There is now an outside storage area which can be used to store fishing gear or other outdoor equipment.
At the time of writing we have some availability in April, June, July and August. Book now!! |
